tonight was a much needed mental vacation. my roomate and i invited a few of our closer friends over for a bonfire. i love when we’re all sitting around, having a drink, and sharing stories, even though i know that secretly, some of them are bored and would rather be elsewhere.
i feel like sitting around a bonfire and telling stories is really a minnesotan thing to do, but i have to admit.. my view on midwesterners, and in particular minnesotans, is pretty skewed.
there were a bunch of great stories passed around tonight, and i dont remember the last time i (really) laughed so hard. it feels great to actually relax.
thought about bri some more tonight. talked to her a bit too.
theres something so soothing about bonfires that i just cant place. theres that feeling that you just belong there, and no where else in the world is nearly as important.
